Indonesia is one of the world’s top diving destinations, primely situated in the famed Coral Triangle. The Indonesian Throughflow, where the currents drag the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean and colder waters of the Indian Ocean together, means that we enjoy the largest variety of marine life on the planet.

Trawangan is the largest and most populated of the three Gilis. Lonely Planet recently referred to it as “a paradise of global repute, ranking alongside Bali and Borobudur as one of Indonesia’s top destinations”. During the day, stroll along the main strip to enjoy an abundance of boutiques, restaurants and spas. Enjoy a game of beach volleyball on Trawangan’s idyllic white sand beaches, snorkel the house reefs, or take a bike ride over to Sunset Point to hear live music and watch the sunset over Agung volcano on Bali. Trawangan is truly a holiday paradise.

The Gili Islands offer one of the best places in the world to learn how to dive. It is also one of Indonesia’s top diving destinations, situated in the famed Coral Triangle. Choose between 20+ diverse sites, each with its own character. From sloping reefs and walls, bio rocks and wrecks – the Gilis offer plenty of diverse underwater environments. As most of the sites are a mere 10-20 minutes away by boat, we can quickly speed over to Lombok, for some world-class muck diving.

Here you will find a description of the dive sites around the beautiful Gili Islands, off of the coast of North Lombok. Every dive site has its own characteristics, specific topography and wildlife. Many of these dive s koites are perfect for first timers although there are plenty of opportunities for advanced divers to challenge themselves.

Dive conditions vary throughout the year depending on the season. The visibility is regularly 20m or more, however in rainy season this might drop to about 10m if we experience heavy rainfall. The water temperatures vary between 27 to 30 degrees celsius, only when you dive deeper than 50m this might go down to about 24 degrees
